The border crisis is one of the biggest disasters created by Joe Biden’s failed Presidency.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is the chief architect of Biden’s open borders agenda.

While the border crisis is spiraling out of control, Mayorkas is claiming that the border is secure.

In the last Fiscal Year, a record of more than two-million illegal aliens were encountered at the border along with record seizures of fentanyl.

But even more illegal aliens and deadly drugs are slipping into the country undetected under Mayorkas’ watch.

After two years of complete chaos on the border, Mayorkas will be under a white-hot spotlight by House Republicans for his massive failure.

James Comer (R-KY), a leading GOP watchdog in Congress, along with Republicans on the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, put Mayorkas on notice that a Congressional investigation is coming into his handling of the border crisis.

In a letter to Mayorkas, Comer said that investigating the border crisis will be a top priority for House Republicans in the next Congress.

With control of the House, Republicans will be able to subpoena witnesses and evidence as part of their investigations.

“Committee Republicans are continuing to investigate how Biden Administration policies have created the worst border crisis in American history,” Comer wrote in the letter. “In Fiscal Year 2022, there were record-shattering levels of illegal immigration, migrant deaths, suspected terrorist encounters, and trafficking of deadly narcotics like fentanyl.”

The United Nations named the border between Mexico and the United States as the deadliest land crossing in the world.

The wide-open southern border is becoming a national security crisis while the Biden regime lets anyone walk into the country.

In October, the Border Patrol apprehended at least 40 illegal aliens who were flagged by the FBI’s terrorism watchlist.

“It is important for the American people, and their elected lawmakers, to understand the role Biden Administration policies have played in fueling the border crisis, the impact of emergency measures required to respond to the resulting catastrophe, and what the Administration’s plan is, if any, to reverse course and resolve the situation,” Comer’s letter continued.

During an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast, Comer said that the Border Patrol is being hamstrung by the failed leadership of Mayorkas and Biden.

“When Donald Trump was President, the Border Patrol was in charge of the border,” Comer said. “Under Joe Biden, they’ve become the welcoming committee, to anyone from anywhere in the world who wants to come to the United States.”

Alejandro Mayorkas will be forced to explain his failure to do his job and secure the border in the new Congress.
