Speculation began about Tucker Carlson’s future after his top-rated show was pulled off the air by Fox News.

Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, who once occupied Tucker’s 8:00 pm time slot, weighed in on Carlson’s future during an interview with Washington, D.C. conservative talk radio station WMAL.

O’Reilly, who was also fired from his top-rated Fox News show, said that the network did Carlson “a favor” by canceling his show.

“He’ll make a lot of clams,” O’Reilly predicted of Carlson’s post-Fox media future.

The former host of The O’Reilly Factor said that lawsuits against the network are the reason that Fox parted ways with Carlson.

“Litigation was the reason,” O’Reilly said. “There are a number of lawsuits pending and then more coming, where Mr. Carlson is going to be involved, particularly the one where he had a spy in his organization and she taped him and his staff and filed a suit in Manhattan.”

Former Tucker Carlson Tonight producer Abby Grossberg filed two separate lawsuits against Fox News and Carlson over what she claims was workplace harassment and sexism on the show.

Grossberg worked out of New York City booking guests for the show and reportedly had never met Carlson in person.

Her lawsuit comes on the heels of Fox settling a $787 million lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems over the 2020 Presidential Election.

O’Reilly said that workplace lawsuits like Carlson is facing are becoming increasingly common by disgruntled employees.

“It’s an industry now,” O’Reilly said. “What happens is you’re an employee, you don’t like where you’re working, you set up a taping apparatus to try to get anything, and then you hire a lawyer, and they come in and claim whatever they want to claim. So, this is happening every hour on the hour all across the United States.”

He said that the employee often comes out on top in these lawsuits.

“There are lawyers lined up to do this,” O’Reilly explained. “Most of these cases are settled and nobody even knows about them but this one is very high profile.”

O’Reilly predicted that breaking free from Fox would be a blessing in disguise for Carlson.

He said that Carlson would take his massive audience with him and operate independently from a major media outlet and make a “bloody fortune” doing it.

O’Reilly set up his own successful independent career in the media after he exited Fox News with a podcast, website and a best-selling series of books.

“They did him a favor,” O’Reilly added. “I mean, my life is so much better now than it was six years ago when I had to deal with all this stuff.”

Tucker Carlson is poised to continue his success no matter where his path takes him in the media.
