Joe Biden has unleashed one disaster after another on the country.

The deadly consequences of this colossal blunder were brought to light.

And James Comer exposed one massive failure that sent Joe Biden into a fit of rage.

The border crisis created by President Joe Biden is a gift to the Mexican drug cartels.

The cartels turned human smuggling into a multibillion-dollar criminal enterprise on top of their lucrative drug trade.

Border Patrol leadership exposed the increasingly sophisticated tactics employed by the cartels and how the agency is outgunned against them.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Gloria Chavez testified about the border crisis before the House Oversight Committee.

The area Chavez manages in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas is ground zero for the border crisis.

She explained that cartels are using drones to detect and evade federal and state law enforcement when smuggling drugs and illegal aliens across the border.

In the Rio Grande Valley Sector alone, there have been more than 10,000 drone flights by the cartels into Texas.

Chavez explained that because of the Rio Grande Valley’s location, it “is identified as a major corridor by cartels and transnational criminal organizations and it is exploited daily for human smuggling, narcotics trafficking, and other illicit activities.”

She said that Border Patrol agents in the sector are dealing with gangs, hardened criminals, drugs, guns, and a growing number of surveillance flights by drones operated by the cartels.

During the past year, Chavez said her sector faced “over 10,000 drone incursions and 25,000 drone detections demonstrating the drone capability of transnational criminal organizations pinpointing law enforcement locations to increase the success of smuggling attempts.”

While the Border Patrol is making progress trying to counter the cartel’s drones, she pointed out the challenges her agents are facing.

The cartels “have 17 times the number of drones, twice the amount of flight hours, and unlimited funding to grow their operations.”

Chavez said that funding was being cut for aerostats and surveillance balloons that provide an eye in the sky to track illegal aliens.

Aerostats can stay in the air longer than planes, drones, and helicopters, which helps the Border Patrol keep problem areas under constant surveillance.

Unless Congress takes action, the funding for aerostats will be exhausted this spring and the Border Patrol’s fleet will be grounded.

The Mexican drug cartels are making billions of dollars off of Biden’s decision to open the border.

Under Biden’s watch, the Border Patrol doesn’t have the resources to compete with the sophisticated smuggling operation that the cartels have developed.

Chavez testified that the situation on the border is going to get worse because Border Patrol agents could be getting pulled off of security duty.

Funding is running out for civilian personnel hired to help process illegal aliens and their jobs would fall to the Border Patrol.

Joe Biden’s fanatical commitment to open borders is fueling the growing power of Mexican drug cartels.
