Joe Biden thought that Big Tech had his back.
But he was blindsided when a tech titan let the truth slip about one pending disaster.
And Jeff Bezos made one prediction that left Joe Biden trembling with fear.
President Joe Biden is presiding over one of the worst economies in decades.
Inflation is running rampant, energy prices are soaring, the housing market is crashing, and economic growth is grinding to a halt.
With the economic problems piling up with no end in sight, the economy is teetering on the brink of a major recession.
Even though Biden is trying to project sunny optimism about the state of the economy, the tech community is preparing for disaster.
Major tech companies have begun laying off workers in anticipation of a pending recession.
Amazon is reportedly preparing to lay off 10,000 workers, the biggest cut in the company’s history, heading into the normally busy holiday season.
Businesses are already taking steps to protect themselves in anticipation of the Biden recession.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos told CNN in an interview that the economy is already in a recession or is going to be in one “very soon.”
“The probabilities say if we’re not in a recession right now, we’re likely to be in one very soon,” Bezos said in the interview.
While he isn’t sure if the United States is “technically” in a recession, the Biden economy is slumping.
“What I can tell you is the economy does not look great right now, things are slowing down, you’re seeing layoffs in many many sectors of the economy, people are slowing down,” Bezos told CNN.
Bezos is warning consumers and businesses to begin preparing for the recession by holding off on major purchases.
“Take some risk off the table,” Bezos said. “If you were going to make a purchase, maybe slow down that purchase a little bit. Keep some dry powder on hand and wait a bit.”
Last month, Bezos said “batten down the hatches” on social media in response to Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon predicting that recession was incoming.
Bezos’s recession prediction came right after fellow tech titan Elon Musk told Twitter employees that the country is headed towards a “serious recession” that could last several years.
Twitter is laying off workers to cut costs after Musk purchased the company.
“We are headed into, I think, quite a serious recession,” Musk said. “And you can see that with basically every company doing layoffs. It’s not just Twitter. And in a recession, advertising is disproportionately affected.”
The biggest names in the tech industry are flashing red warning signs and sounding the alarm over a pending recession.
A recession would be the biggest disaster for Joe Biden to confront yet during his failed Presidency.
