In a “Countdown to the Midterms” event hosted by Washington Times Commentary Editor Kelly Sadler and Times Online Opinion Editor Cheryl Chumley, Kari Lake said Joe Biden’s failures on the border and inflation were why she would win her campaign to become the next Governor of Arizona.

“Every state’s dealing with inflation — ‘Biden-flation,’” Lake stated.

Inflation was 1.4 percent when Donald Trump left office.

But when Joe Biden and the Democrats rammed a $1.9 trillion socialist spending bill through Congress in March of 2021, inflation picked up speed and never slowed down.

The latest inflation report showed prices surging 8.1 percent year-over-year, the highest in 40 years.

Rising inflation means Americans are seeing a cut in take-home pay as the raises they receive at work cannot keep up with inflation.

Lake also cited Joe Biden’s border crisis as another factor in voters turning against the Democrats, with Mexican drug cartels slipping their poisonous fentanyl through the administration’s wide-open border.

“Our border is a huge issue here,” Lake added. “A wide-open border in Arizona means that fentanyl is pouring into every single state, killing young people. The state is going to take back control of our border in Arizona and restore law and order and protect our citizens.”

Since Joe Biden took office, over five-million illegal aliens have invaded the United States.

As Ground Zero in Joe Biden’s border crisis, Arizona voters want solutions.

Lake promised to declare an invasion at the border within one hour of taking the oath of office.

Declaring an invasion would allow Lake to deploy the National Guard to help deport illegal aliens caught at the border.

Polls backup Lake’s assertion that this is a winning message.

The latest Fox News poll shows Lake taking the lead over Democrat Katie Hobbs.

The Real Clear Politics polling average finds Lake holding a 2.8 percent lead over Hobbs.

And Lake says she owes this lead to a message that connected with voters because she offered policies that will respond to Joe Biden’s failures that are making life harder for the people of Arizona.
