After the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Rudy Giuliani became known as “America’s Mayor.” In the aftermath of former President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign, he faced criticism for spreading false rumors about the election and even had his law license suspended. Recently, a woman accused him of shocking allegations, and now he has fired back.

On May 15, Noelle Dunphy, a former employee of Giuliani’s, sued him in New York. In her 70-page complaint, she accused her former boss of sexually assaulting and harassing her. She also said he didn’t pay her the wages she earned and often made “sexist, racist, and antisemitic remarks.”

Dunphy also alleged Giuliani told her that he had “immunity” from prosecution and was “selling pardons for $2 million.” She claimed he told her he was working directly with then-President Donald Trump and that they would split the money. While she claimed to have recordings of multiple conversations proving her allegations, her attorney Justin Kelton told MSNBC that no such recording existed about the alleged conversation about pardons.

Giuliani responded to the allegations on his WABC radio show. The former mayor said Dunphy “never worked for [his] company.” He said the allegations she made in the lawsuit “are untrue.” Further, he exclaimed that he is not a “punching bag” and will “punch back!”

The Republican said he has never abused anyone. He accused Dunphy of being “excluded from hotels because she trawls them to see” if she can shake someone down. Giuliani claimed she had been seeking rich men to sue for eight years.

Kelton responded to the former mayor’s allegations on behalf of his client, accusing him of trying to “blame the victim.” Dunphy is seeking $10 million, saying Giuliani hired her for $1 million annually in addition to expenses. She claimed he only paid her $12,000 and still owes her $1,988,000.
